Westfield High School Names Additional Assistant Band Director

We are pleased and excited to announce the addition of Mr. Joe Falcon to the position of Assistant Director of Bands at Westfield High School!

Mr. Falcon completed his second year as Assistant Band Director at William B. Travis High School in Fort Bend ISD. He previously held the position of interim Assistant Band Director at Stephen F. Austin High School in Fort Bend ISD. Mr. Falcon was an active private trumpet teacher in Fort Bend ISD and Spring ISD at both the junior high school and high school level. He is a native Houstonian, attended North Shore Senior High School, and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Houston. During the college years, Mr. Falcon was a member of the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps from Canton, Ohio; in 2008, he served as drum major. Mr. Falcon had the privilege of being on staff with several organizations including the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps, Richland High School Band (2007 Bands of America Grand National Finalist), and The Woodlands High School Band (2013 Bands of America Grand National Champion).

We are very excited to have Mr. Falcon on board with us as he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to help our students succeed in our future efforts. Mr. Falcon will be conducting the Concert band as well as assisting with the Big Red Band, Wind Ensemble, and Symphonic Band.

Mr. Falcon will be available for students and parents to meet with him on Thursday 6/28 and Friday 6/29 at Top Dog Fireworks 16720 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77090, as we continue our largest fundraiser of the year!
